Why did flag error occur on Vets Day?

Hillsboro High School flew the American flag upside down Monday morning, Veterans Day, until a veteran walked in off the street at 9:30 a.m. to complain.

It is disrespectful to fly the flag upside down––an act straight out of the ’60s and its anti-war protests. The school’s excuse was that a substitute put it up.

Which brings us to another question: How is it that a substitute teacher who does not know which way is up on our national flag gets to teach our children? Or did the person know and this was his or her act of protest against America?

Another question is why this “mistake” seem to happen at public schools across this country only on Veterans Day?

I would like to add this one final thought: It is not easy to confuse up from down on the American Flag. They sure got the Kansas flag right side up.

Since 1945 to today, America, backed up by its military, has brought freedom to nearly 1 billion people around the world.

Yes, almost 1 billion people over the past 60 years, given freedom or freedom was preserved and are still living free thanks to what the left calls the Imperialist Empire of the United States of America (give or take 35 million).

This is not counting America’s own population and the millions who have fled here to the safety of our shores.

To quote Sergeant Hulka, "Lighten up, Francis!". Did it occur to you that it could have been just a mistake? To my understanding, it was just a simple mistake. By the way, is it an error when you fly your flag at night unlit?
