The Hillsboro Recreation Commission will be sponsoring two youth programs this fall.
Flag football is planned for Saturday mornings from Sept. 8 through Oct. 20.
Games will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Hillsboro Sports Complex every week with the exception of Sept. 15, the date of the arts and crafts fair.
Boys and girls will play on co-ed teams with divisions as follows: first and second grade, third and fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grade.
The cost will be $16. The registration deadline is Aug. 24.
The HRC also is sponsoring an instructional youth volleyball camp that will emphasize learning serving, setting, passing and spiking skills.
The camp is intended for USD 410 boys and girls in grades three to six and is not a league. Games will be played at the instructor’s discretion.
Participants will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday evenings from Sept. 10 through Oct. 1 at the high school gym. The cost is $20 and includes a T-shirt. The registration deadline is Sept. 5.
