Kurt and Paula Schwarz of La Cygne announce the birth of a son, Parker Reed, born July 27 at Olathe Medical Center.
He weighed 8 pounds, 5.2 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Jerel and Serena Pankratz of Hillsboro. Maternal great-grandparents are Marlin and Sandra Stum of Towner, Colo. and Allen and Dorothy Pankratz of Hillsboro. Paternal grandparents are Robert and Debra Schwarz and Jack and Karen Lindstrom, all of Silver Lake. Paternal great-grandparents are Georgia Pulhamus of Olathe, Gladys Lindstrom of Silver Lake and Travis and Janet Reger of Spearman, Texas.

Ryan and Tracy Hefley of Hillsboro announce the birth of a son, Cooper James, born July 24 at Newton Medical Center.
He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. She has a sister, Reese, 6.
Grandparents are Harold and Susan Schultz and Jim and Leanna Hefley, all of Hillsboro. Great-grandparents are T.A. and Florence Friesen, Marie Schultz and Ruby Hefley, all of Hillsboro, and the late Orlando Schultz and M.U. Hefley.
