Craig Banman, Goessel, has been selected to play in the Babe Ruth Classic on Sunday, Aug. 12 in Elkhart. The Kansas Babe Ruth Classic originated in 1999 as a way to showcase the 36 most talented 15-year-old players participating in the Kansas Babe Ruth baseball program. The exhibition is played at various sites throughout Kansas and consists of two seven-inning games. Players are selected during district tournament competition. On Sunday team pictures will be taken at 11 a.m. followed by opening ceremonies and two games.
