Melissa Garcia and Toby Whiteside were married April 14 at the Harvey County Courthouse in Newton with Judge Walker presiding.
The bride is the daughter of Cy and Ginger Garcia of Florence. The groom is the son of Brian and Tammy Whiteside of Peabody and Marilyn and Roger Koehn of Newton.
The bride wore a long, white dress with spaghetti straps and carried a bouquet of blue and white roses.
Maid of honor was Amber Wilson, sister-in-law and friend of the bride.
Best man was Nathan Diaz, friend of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Peabody American Legion.
Reception assistants were Jennifer Woods and Patsy Troutt. Disc jockey was Dave Mink.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Marion High School and is employed as a certified medication aide at Presbyterian Manor.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Peabody High School and is employed as a glass cutter at Hehr Glass. The couple is at home in Peabody.
