Garcia, Whiteside wed April 14

 

GarciaWhitesideWedding.jpg Melissa Garcia and Toby Whiteside were married April 14 at the Harvey Coun ty Courthouse in Newton with Judge Walker presiding.

The bride is the daughter of Cy and Ginger Garcia of Florence. The groom is the son of Brian and Tammy Whiteside of Peabody and Marilyn and Roger Koehn of Newton.

The bride wore a long, white dress with spaghetti straps and carried a bouquet of blue and white roses.

Maid of honor was Amber Wilson, sister-in-law and friend of the bride.

Best man was Nathan Diaz, friend of the groom.

Photographer was Lee Becker.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Peabody American Legion.

Reception assistants were Jennifer Woods and Patsy Troutt. Disc jockey was Dave Mink.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Marion High School and is employed as a certified medication aide at Presbyterian Manor.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Peabody High School and is employed as a glass cutter at Hehr Glass.

The couple is at home in Peabody.

 


Stone, Licause marry May 19

 

StoneLicauseWedding.jpg Lisa Anne Stone and Christopher Vincent Licause were united in marriage May 19 at the Botanic Gardens in Denver, Colo, with Jim Barrington officiating.

Parents of the couple are J.L. and Tammy Stone of Overland Park and Mary Licause of Woodstock, N.Y. Grandparents of the bride are Rosse and Janice Case of Marion and Middo Stone of Overland Park.

Melissa Brown and Cassie Horn, friends of the bride, served as greeters.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line ivory gown with an empire café color accent-band continuing around to the back of the gown to finish with two flowing sashes extending to the train. She wore white dendrobium orchids in her hair.

Lory Stone, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Friends of the bride Kelli Weniger and Liz Merritt were bridesmaids.

They wore long, light green strapless gowns with matching waist-bands.

Key Kim, friend of the groom, served as best man.
