The best time in the nation came from Ross Harlan, a freshman from Oklahoma Baptist, who finished in 50.99.

For the women, Tabor’s Breanna Wray threw the shot 40 feet, 93⁄4 inches. Wray qualified with a distance of 42-31⁄4. The national title throw sailed 47-11 from the hand of Fresno Pacific’s Dia Matthews.

Ashley Malcom bounded 34-11 in the triple jump. The winning jump was 42-0 by Cedar- ville’s Sarah Ensslen. Malcom qualified for the event with a jump of 38-71⁄2 at the KCAC meet earlier this month.
