Gotsch signs two backs for Bluejay football program

Demetrius Cox and Devin Smith will join the Tabor College football team this fall.
Cox, a 190-pound running back from Orlando, Fla., was named “Offensive Player of the Year” by the Orlando Sentinel.
In one game at Oak Ridge High School, he set marks for touchdowns in a game and rushing yards, six touchdowns and more than 300 yards.
Cox will transfer from Graceland University.
Tabor College head coach Mike Gottsch said the team is “looking forward to working with Demetrius in the near future.”
Smith, a 185-pound running back from Winnetka, Calif.,, was a three-year letter-winner named “athlete of the year” at Chaminade College Preparatory School in West Hills, Calif., in 2004.
“We are excited about Devin’s decision to make Tabor his college of choice,” Gottsh said.
“Devin is a scholar and a very fine football player,” he added.
