Haris Zafar will check and clean hearing aids at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday,
May 16, at the Hillsboro Senior Center. Following the noon carry-in
meal, Sheila Schmitt, associate professor of piano and piano pedagogy
at Tabor College, will give a piano performance.
Saline County extension agent Sherri Mahoney will speak after lunch
Thursday, May 17, about the history of sandwiches. Men’s coffee will
follow at 3 p.m.
The birthday dinner is Monday, May 21, with special music by Lonn and Bev Richards following the meal.
Gordon Mohn will share on the school district bond issue after lunch Wednesday, May 23.
The
center will hold a fund-raising garage sale and silent auction June 8
and 9. The center is looking for donated clothes, household items,
small appliances and miscellaneous items, which may be dropped off at
the front entryway. Profits will be used for ongoing expenses.
