Kenneth Duane Becker, 46, building contractor and truck driver, died Jan. 30 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
The service was held Feb. 3 at Peabody United Methodist Church with pastors David Ragland and Don Mashburn officiating. Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
He was born Feb. 9, 1960, to Ivan and Roma (Lewis) Becker in El Dorado. He was married to Sharyn Bedlington Becker, who survives in Newton.
He is also survived by four sons, Kirby of Wichita, Patrick of Emporia, Matthew Bedlington of Fort Worth, Texas, and Michael Bedlington of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Kelly of Wichita, Jessica of Wichita and Marla Read of Italy; his mother, Roma of Hillsboro; a brother, Lee Becker of Lincolnville; and three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Avenue of Flags in Peabody in care of Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.
Patsy Owen
Patsy J. Owen, 74, died Feb. 3 in Arkansas City.
The service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
She was born Jan. 2, 1933, to Clarence Burwell and Neva Lucille (Head) Allen in Arkansas City. On June 7, 1950, she was married to Jess Leith. On May 12, 1965, she was married to John W. Owen, who died in 1986.
She is survived by a son, Steven R. Leith of Arkansas City; a daughter, Pam and Greg Holub of Lincolnville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Edith Thiessen
Edith Evelyn Thiessen, 89, died Feb. 1 at Reno County Hospice House in Hutchinson.
The service was held Feb. 5 at Buhler Mortuary Chapel with pastor Fred Obold officiating. Burial was at Zoar Cemetery in rural Inman.
She was born April 25, 1917, to Clinton and Norma Bennett Vanzandt in Springfield, Mo. On Aug. 11, 1971, she was married to Raymond W. Thiessen, who survives.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials have been established with Buhler Sunshine Home and Hospice of Reno County Hospice House.
Marge Watchcoske
Margaret Ann "Marge" (Davis) Watchcoske, 96, died Jan. 30 at Legacy Park in Peabody.
The service was held Feb 2 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence with Bethann Black officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.
She was born Aug. 7, 1910, to Thomas D. and Annie C. (Nord) Davis in Emporia.
In 1937, she was married to Edward Watchcoske, who died in 1976.
She is survived by two nieces.
Memorials have been established with the Florence Public Library and Florence United Methodist Church.
