Michael and Sharon Sorenson of Durham and Janna and David Sherraden and Mark McKena, all of Wichita, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Carine Janelle and Matthew McKena, both of Wichita.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2002 graduate of Hesston College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital in the intensive coronary care unit.

Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of Northwest High School of Wichita and is a part-time student at Wichita State in engineering. He is employed at the National Institute for Aviation Research and the Kansas Air National Guard.

The wedding is planned for March 17 in Park City.
