At the Hillsboro Senior Center's December carry-in meal, two board members were elected to three-year positions. Kermit Ratzlaff was reelected to serve as board president, and Ray Franz was elected to fill Katherine Heinrichs's position.

Games, gab and goodies will be offered the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 27. Bring a new game to share.

The center will be closed on New Year's Day.

Bring your best, worst and funniest New Year's resolutions to share Tuesday, Jan. 2.

The video "Passport to Praise" will be shown Thursday, Jan. 4.

The defensive-driving classes to be offered by Jona Baltzer have been rescheduled for 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 10 and 12 at a $10 fee. Call for reservations.

Beginning Jan. 1, full-pay prices for meals will increase to $4.50, an adjustment necessary to comply with the Older American Act. The suggested contribution for eligible, registered participants will remain at $2.75.

Those who would like to begin receiving the monthly newsletter can call 947-2301 or stop by the center.

A big thank-you to our weekly volunteers.
