Lindsey Leigh Goertzen and Robert Jess Mierau announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Dennis W. and Dee Goertzen and Milan and Deb Mierau, all of Henderson, Neb.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Heartland High School. She attended Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Neb., and graduated from the office technology program. She works at York (Neb.) General Hospital. She is the granddaughter of Bertha Schultz of Hillsboro.

Her fiance is a 1993 graduate of Henderson High School. He attended Southeast Community College in Lincoln and graduated from the architectural program. He works as a projects manager at Archi+Etc. in Lincoln. He is the grandson of Inez Epp and the great-grandson of Helen Pankratz, both of Henderson.

The couple plans to wed Jan. 20 at Countryside Bible Church in Hampton, Neb.
