Orley Lynn Friesen, 46, Tabor College dishwasher, died Nov. 27 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
The service was held Dec. 1 Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro with pastor Steve Schroeder officiating.
He was born Jan. 17, 1960, to Orley John and Karen Lavalle (Garrison) Friesen in Dallas, Ore.
He is survived by his father of Sublimity, Ore.; two brothers, Daryl Lee of Newton and Jon Marvin of Herington; and two sisters, Juanita Harrison of Hillsboro and Kimberly JoAnn Wilson of Phoenix, Ariz.
A memorial has been established with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Nola Heim
Nola Alice Heim, 78, newspaper route carrier, died Nov. 27 in Canton.
The service was held Dec. 1 at Canton Christian Church with pastor Jack Smith officiating. Burial was in Canton Township Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 3, 1928, to Herbert and Velma Tinsley Westbrook in rural Canton. On Dec. 1, 1945, she was married to Harold G. Heim, who died in 1986.
She is survived by three sons, Daryl Dean of Everton, Mo., Ricky R. of McPherson and Neil L. of Canton; a daughter, Karen K. of Canton; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Canton Christian Church in care of Olson's Mortuary of Canton.
Stanley Konarik
Stanley Konarik, 99, retired mechanic, died Dec. 2 at Golden Living Center in Marion.
The funeral mass was held Dec. 5 at Pilsen with Hien Nguyen officiating. Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.
He was born May 4, 1907, to Peter and Agnes Mikula Konarik in Marak, Texas. On Oct. 10, 1933, he was married to Elsie Holub, who died in 1990.
He is survived by a sister, Martha Melcher of Tampa, and nieces and nephews.

Mary Thomsen
Mary Christine Thomsen, 20, Kansas State University student, died Nov. 30 near Wamego.
The service was held Dec. 4 at Burlington United Methodist Church. Burial was in Baker Cemetery in rural Burlington.
She was born June 25, 1986, to Chris and Diana Lynn Hein Thomsen in Burlington.
She is survived by her parents of rural Hartford; two sisters, Holly and Amy of the home; a brother, Aaron of the home; her grandfather, Bob Hein of Hillsboro; her grandmother, Margaret Thomsen of rural Hartford; and several aunts and uncles.The Mary Thomsen Memorial fund will be established in care of Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
