Dave Bricker, son of Madelyn Vogel of Hillsboro, died in Denver, Colo.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Marion Christian Church, 140 N. Elm.
A lunch will be held with his family following the service.
Gertrude Gilberg
Gertrude Mary Gilberg, 88, retired tax clerk, died Oct. 27 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Peabody with Robert Kloth officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
She was born April 21, 1918, to Paul and Ida (Minch) Fasbender in Philadelphia, Pa. She was married to Phillip Gilberg, who predeceased her.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Martel of Peabody; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Peabody Senior Center in care of Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.
Mary Grimmett
Mary Christine Lalouette Grimmett, 87, homemaker, died Oct. 28 at Golden Living Center in Marion.
The service was held Oct. 31 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence with pastor Larry Timm officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.
She was born Oct. 28, 1919, to Leon and Anna Margaret (Carpenter) Lalouette of rural Florence. On Feb. 27, 1939, she was married to George Kelly Grimmett, who died in 1995.
She is survived by two sons, George K. Jr. and Ginny of rural Florence and Edwin Lee and Bernice of Shelbyville, Texas; a daughter, Anna Lea and Robert Brenzikofer of Florence; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Cedar Point Community Church.
Gladys Klein
Gladys Mae Klein, 90, died Oct. 26 at the Marion Assisted Living Center.
Services were held Oct. 31 at Marion Christian Church with Carl Helm officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
She was born May 24, 1916, to Karl and Hannah Weber Schlotthauer in rural Marion County. On May 19, 1937, she was married to Fred Klein, who died in 1991.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce and Jerry Olsen of rural Marion; a son, Ralph and Barbara of Marion; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Marion Christian Church in care of Zeiner Funeral Home.
Philip Schlichting
Philip L. Schlichting, 68, director of Christian Faith Mission in Midland, Texas, died Oct. 4 at Midland Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 3, 1938, to Jake and Ruby (Suderman) Schlichting in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Midland; two daughters, one son and five grandchildren.
Roland Unruh
Roland Unruh, 83, farmer and industrial mechanic, died Oct. 23 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
A private family graveside service was held.
He was born Feb. 21, 1923, to Jacob H. and Lena (Smith) Unruh in Marion County. On Jan. 1, 1949, he was married to Elva Dora Heidel, who survives in rural Walton.
He is also survived by two sisters, Bertha Goentzel of Lehigh and Ellagene Buller of Covina, Calif.
A memorial has been established with Bethesda Home in care of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
Sarita Vogt
Sarita Vogt, 84, retired high-school music teacher, died Sept. 12 in Danbury (Conn.) Hospital.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Green Funeral Home in Danbury.
She was born Sarita Schroeder in Hillsboro. In 1943, she was married to Raymond Vogt, who died in 1996.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Cook; a son, John Vogt; and four grandchildren.
Marilyn Winslow
Marilyn Fern Winslow, 70, retired nurse, hairdresser and partner in E&M Nursing Home, died Oct. 26 in McPherson.
The service was held Oct. 30 at Glidden-Ediger Chapel in McPherson with pastors Terry Post and Sherman Nungster officiating. Burial was in McPherson Cemetery.
She was born May 25, 1936, to Marion Earle and Edna Ruth (Embers) Bruce in Galva. On March 28, 1955, she was married to Gerald Lee Winslow, who survives in McPherson.
She is also survived by a daughter, Rene Korbe of McPherson; three sons, Rick of Marion, Jim of Hillsboro and Bruce of Canton; her mother of McPherson; two sisters, Trevelyn Grimes of Wichita and MaDonna Earnest of Medicine Lodge; a brother, Verlyn Bruce of McPherson; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas in McPherson and Mercy Hospital of Moundridge.
