Ashley Laura Pugh of Newton and Adam Michael Kleiber of Hillsboro, together with their parents, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dave and Shelly Lujano of Newton and the granddaughter of Gena Becker and the late Edwin Becker of Newton.

She is a graduate of Newton High School and a senior at the University of Kansas, where she is a May 2007 graduation candidate with a degree in applied behavior science with an emphasis on community health and development. She is working with the "Young Women on the Move!" program in Kansas City.

Her fiance is the son of Mike and Carolyn Kleiber and the grandson of Edie Ollenburger and the late Dean Ollenburger, and Lorene Kleiber and the late Harold Kleiber, all of Hillsboro.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School and Kansas State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is an advanced development engineer at Excel Industries in Hesston.

The couple plans to wed June 23 at East Heights Methodist Church in Wichita.
