Tickets may still be purchased for $4 for the 46th annual meeting for senior citizens of Marion County, to be held Oct. 12 at the Hillsboro Senior Center. Jonah Kliewer will present a musical program, followed by the business meeting. Registration will begin at 11 a.m.

The bus will leave at 9:15 a.m. Oct. 13 for a trip to the Kansas Cosmosphere to see an exposition on the adventures of Lewis and Clark. The group will eat lunch at Lone Star Cafe. For more information, call the center at 947-2304. Bus seats are filling quickly.

The defensive-driver course planned for Oct. 16 and 17 has been postponed to December for family medical reasons.

Call ahead to schedule a hearing appointment with Haris Zafar, scheduled to visit the center Oct. 18.

John and Cindy Baize will offer a slide presentation following the noon meal Oct. 18 on their mission trip last summer to an orphanage in Guatemala City.

An outing to see "Singin' In the Rain" at the Crown Uptown Theater in Wichita is planned for Nov. 2. Cost is $35 for tickets, lunch and transportation. Call to reserve a bus seat.
