Vernon and Arlene Bowers will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner Oct. 1 and an extended recreational-vehicle trip to the Southeast.
Vernon Bowers and Arlene Klein were married on Old Settler's Day Oct. 5, 1956, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Marion.
Hosting the dinner are their two children and five grandchildren: Linda Deiters and Joseph, Matthew and Christopher of Winfield and Troy and Amy Bowers and Jovi and Sidnee of Salina.
