Robyn Penner and Cody Liebelt were married May 27 in a double-ring ceremony officiated by pastor Tim Kliewer and Scripture read by Aaron Zeller at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston.
Parents of the couple are Stuart and Lynette Penner of Hillsboro and Randy Liebelt and Gala Liebelt of Satanta.
Grandparents are Milton and Linda Goertzen of Goessel and LaVern Liebelt of Minot, N.D.
Matrons of honor were Carrie Friesen of Hesston and Lindsey Sola of Gardner, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Holly Lindsay of Hillsboro and Christa Taylor of Kidron, Ohio, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Marina Kaufman of Prairie Village, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Andrew Liebelt of Garden City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Erik Garza of Santana, Ross Duerksen of Lehigh and Ronn Coates of Durham, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Lejer McDaniel of Valley Center, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Darin Hamerschmidt, Dustin Jost, Chris Larson, David Nieto and Brent Weeks, all friends of the groom.
Guestbook attendant was Jodi Enz and personal attendant was Michelle Reith, both friends of the bride.
Program attendants were Nicole and Tia Goertzen, cousins of the bride. Gift attendants were Ryan Goertzen, Laird and Heath Goertzen, and Daniel Kaufman, all cousins of the bride.
Videographers were Rick Soal, brother-in-law of the bride, and Steven Goertzen, uncle of the bride. Shannon Friesen, brother-in-law of the bride, provided pots and urns of flowers that decorated the front of the outdoor ceremony area.
Musicians included soloist Crystal McDaniel, the groom's cousin; guitarist Greg Ingebretson; trombonist Renae Peters; trumpeter Don McDaniel, uncle of the groom; and trumpeter Arlin Buller. Roseann Penner Kaufman, aunt of the bride, was music coordinator.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown with an asymmetrical waist, laced corset back and long slim skirt with a sweep train. The bodice was embellished with embroidery, crystals, beads, pearls and sequins. Her elbow-length veil was lined with crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white tulips and lilies.
Following the ceremony, a meal, reception and dance were held under a tent at the Dyck Arboretum. Hosts and hostesses were Willie and Kala Nickel, friends of the bride, and Jerry and Adalina Green, friends of the groom. Cake and punch servers were aunts of the bride Judy Goertzen, Rosemary Reimer and Ruth Goertzen.
The bride is a 2002 Hillsboro High School graduate and a May 2006 Bethel College graduate with a degree in business administration. She is employed at the Landmark National Bank in Manhattan.
The groom is a 2001 Satanta High School graduate and is a spring 2007 candidate for graduation from Kansas State University, majoring in secondary education in history.
Following a honeymoon to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple resides in Manhattan.
