Don Blosser

Don E. Blosser, 53, industrial mechanic, died Aug. 26 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel with pastors Lee Suderman and Linda Ewert officiating.

He was born Jan. 18, 1953, to Richard and Mary Ann Blosser in Newton. On May 20, 1995, he was married to Sarita J. Friesen, who survives in Newton.

He is also survived by a son, Roy Henry of the home; two brothers-in-law, Terryl and Tammy Friesen of Arlington, Texas, and Donnel and Donalee Friesen of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Carol and Larry Temple of Elyria and Deb and Lee Penner of Newton; a sister-in-law, Jody and Brent Heidelman of Lindsborg; and his mother of Kidron Bethel in North Newton.

A memorial has been established with the Roy Henry Blosser Education Fund in care of the funeral home.

Jewell Davis

Jewell Glind Davis, 82, died Aug. 23 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

The service was held Aug. 26 at Peabody Christian Church. Burial was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

He was born Jan. 26, 1924, to Charlie Randolph and Dixie Pearl Stallins Davis in Olney, Ky.

He was employed at Beech, Boeing, Paramount, Hinges Co. and Prudential Life Insurance.

On Oct. 3, 1944, he was married to Naomi B. Williams, who survives in Peabody.

He is also survived by two daughters, Vickie and Jay Cook of Peabody and Lynda and Glenn Bright of Newton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.

Robert Grauman

Robert "Bob" C. Graumann 88, retired dentist, died Aug. 27 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center

Viewing will from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30. A celebration of his life will be held at the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church 4 miles south of Hillsboro with pastor David Plett officiating.

He was born March 22, 1918, to Ferdinand and Lydia Seibel Graumann on a farm near Harvey, N.D., where he spent most of his life and practiced dentistry for 44 years.

On June 21, 1942, he was married to Ruby Lucille Funk at Ebenfeld MB Church.

In 1997, the couple moved to Park Village at Hillsboro, where he was a member of the Hillsboro MB Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia and Al Neufeldt of Sisters, Ore., and Judith and Allen Flick of Garland, Texas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.

A memorial has been established at Tabor College in care of Jost Funeral Home of Hillsboro.

Martha Martens

Martha N. Martens, 95, homemaker, died Aug. 25 at Moundridge Manor.

The service will be held Wednesday in Buhl, Idaho. Burial is at Buhl Mennonite Church Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 7, 1910, to Pete K. Friesen and Katherine Nickel in Lehigh. On Feb. 5, 1956, she was married to Pete K. Martens, who died in 1983.

She is survived by three stepsons, Eugene Martens of Scott City, Jay Dean Martens of Livingston, Calif., and Galen Martens of Merced, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Delores Mastre of Delta, Colo., and Roselene Giesbrecht of Othello, Wash.; and a brother, Jake Friesen of Buhl.
