Summer is half over and before long we will wish for some of these warm days. If you need a place to have some refreshing fun, food and fellowship, come to the Senior Center.

This past week has been a busy one. July birthdays were celebrated Monday, July 24. Jeanne Rziha gave some good points on "Healthy Tips for Hot Weather" Tuesday, July 25.

Many of the regular attenders heard physician Michael Reeh present information he learned at a recent conference on "Disaster Medicine."

Coming events for August include a variety of videos, games, speakers and rememberances.

-- Aug. 2: "Seniors on the Safe Side" will be viewed.

-- Aug. 7, 14: Mary McFadden, registered nurse, will provide footcare between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for those who have called ahead for an appointment.

-- Aug. 8: Jill Bremyer-Archer will give helpful information on estate and will planning.

-- Aug 24: "Remember Our School Day" With school beginning this month, the Senior Center will emphasize school day memories. Grade cards, pictures and other memorabilia will be displayed. Remember, education nevers end.

Thanks to the following volunteers:

Food service: Marcella Mohn, JoAnn Faurot, Irma Groening, Irma Koop, RuthAnn Penner, Beryl Steiner, Frances Rempel, Margaret Funk, Mariann Unruh and Eunice Matz.

Food delivery service: John Vogt and Lonn Richards.
