Recca and Christopher Monares, Peabody, announce the birth of a son, Tavin Christopher Eric Monares, on May 28 at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 51⁄2 pounds and was 17 inches long.

He has a sister, Lois, 31⁄2.

Maternal grandparents are John and Man Hanan, Peabody, and Ron Flores, Wichita. Paternal grandparents are Alfred and Ruth Ann Monares, Newton.

Maternal great-grandparents are Angy and Tony Flores, Newton; Jan Brundage, Peabody; Tony and Coleen Black, Wichita.

Paternal great-grandparents are: Esther Monares, Newton; LaVern Miller, Hillsboro.

Jerrid Whitwell

Josh and Clark Whitwell, Marion, announce the birth of a son, Jerrid Ronald Whitwell, on July 12 at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 7 pounds, 3.6 ounces and was 191⁄2 inches long. He has two brothers, Jordan, 6, and Jacob, 4.

His grandparents are Brad and Jeannie Wildin and Janie and Eddie Whitwell, all of Marion.

His great-grandparents are Sue Brookshire of Picher, Okla., Ronald and Dorothy Widler of Marion, Joy Wildin of Marion, Betty Whitwell of Wichita, and Bill and Prawphan Wildin of Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles.

His great-great-grandmother is Geneva Widler of Marion.
