Amanda Jean Kleiber and Timothy John Baxa, both of Manhattan, together with their parents, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Lynn and Peggy Kleiber of Salina, formerly of Ramona. She is a graduate of Centre High School and a student at Kansas State University, majoring in biology/pre-med.

Her fiance is the son of Raymond and Jane Baxa of Cuba. He graduated from Hillcrest High School and KSU with a bachelor's degree in animal science and industries. He is working toward a graduate degree in ruminant nutrition at KSU.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 5 in Belleville.
