Eldon Bargen

Eldon Kliewer Bargen, 76, educator, draftsman and woodworker, died March 29 in Goessel.

The service will be held at 3 p.m. April 21 at Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton with Heidi Regier Kreider officiating

He was born Dec. 6, 1930, to Bernhard B. and Esther Bargen in Wichita. On Dec. 28, 1951, he was married to Helen J. Bartel, who survives in North Newton

Survivors also include a son, Dale and Jenny; a daughter, Jan; a sister, Joyce and Paul Koehn; and four grandchildren

Memorials have been established with Mennonite Mission Network—JustaPaz, Bethesda Home and Hospice Care of Newton in care of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.

George Boucher

George Edward Boucher Jr., 68, head engineer of Susan B. Allen Hospital maintenance department in El Dorado, died March 24 in VanBuren, Ark.

The service was March 29 at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.

He was born June 28, 1938, to George and Vernille (Mitchell) Boucher in Wichita. On Feb. 21, 1959, he was married to Carol Janette Madison, who survives in Hillsboro.

Survivors also include a son, Jeff and Mandy of Hillsboro; a daughter, Kristie of VanBuren; two sisters, Lenea and Harry Lewis of Latham and Becy and Lee Jordan of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Michael Knak

Michael D. Knak, 58, U.S. Core of Army Engineers contract inspector, died March 26 in Hillsboro.

The service is at 2 p.m. April 7 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church with Nancy Douglas officiating.

He was born Nov. 3, 1948, to Eldon and Hilda (Funk) Knak in Hillsboro. On May 29, 1976, he was married to JoAnn Hall, who survives in Hillsboro.

Survivors also include three sons, Gary and Angie Slater of Hillsboro, Alan Slater of Ark City and Mark and Cindy Slater of Florence; a daughter, Lisa Knak Platt of Salina; five brothers, Ronnie, Glenn, Don, Larry and Roger; a sister, Clarice Warkentin; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with the Shriners Children’s Hospital and Hillsboro United Methodist Church in care of Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
