Centre's Dustin Burnett signs with Tabor College Bluejays

Centre High School standout Dustin Burnett (center) recently signed with the Tabor College men's basketball and track and field programs. Pictured with Burnett are: back row. The 6-foot 2-inch guard from Lincolnville led the Cougars in scoring, assists and steals the past two seasons and also in rebounds in 2006. He was named first team All-Eisenhower League in 2005 and 2006. "Dustin is a very skilled player who has already developed many of the skills required to compete on the college level," said men's basketball coach Don Brubacher. "We are extremely pleased to have him as a member of the Tabor basketball program." Burnett's success in track and field led him to fourth place in the 800 meters at the Class 1A state meet in in 2005. He also qualified in the 400 and 4x800. In 2006, he qualified for the 800.
