MCAA coaches name 4 Trojans, Warriors for all-league baseball

The Hillsboro Trojans and Marion-Florence/Peabody-Burns Warriors each had four players included by coaches on this year's Mid-Central Activities Association all-league baseball team.
Only one player, Hillsboro outfielder Justin Moore, was picked as high as second team. The other seven players received honorable mention.
Moore, a senior, batted .357 with two home runs and 15 runs batted in. He had a slugging percentage of .589 and an on-base percentage of .493. He had a fielding percentage of .881.
The Trojans given honorable mention were Travis Riesen at catcher, Chad Hughbanks at shortstop and Daniel Jost as a utility player.
Riesen, a junior, batted .311 with 12 RBIs and led the team with four doubles. His slugging percentage was .475 and on-base percentage was .380. He had a .992 field percentage.
In his senior season, Hughbanks batted .406, scored 21 runs and drove in 14. His slugging percentage was .422 and on-base percentage was .461. He had a .831 field percentage.
In his first season, freshman Daniel Jost hit .366, scored a team-high 23 times, drove in 12 and tied Hughbanks for most hits (26). He played shortstop, second base and pitcher, combining for a fielding percentage of .979.
Receiving honorable mention for the Warriors (2-15) were junior Clayton Garnica at first base, junior Clinton Jeffrey at second base, freshman Calvin Jeffrey at shortstop and junior Cody Werts as a utility player
