Gary and Shirley Carlson of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Sunday, June 4, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, 105, Eastmoor Drive in Marion.
All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.
Gary Carlson and the former Shirley Walker were married June 3, 1956, at Methodist Church in Clay Center. He has owned and continues to operate Carlson's TV for the past 49 years. She is the director of Marion Housing Authority.
Hosts for the event will be their children and grandchildren, Greg and Linda Carlson of Marion, Cindy and Charlie Reece of Hillsboro, Brad Carlson and Mitch Carlson, both of Marion, and Shirley's sister, Carolyn Hoover of Abilene.
