Walter and Esther (Mendel) Kleinsasser of Hillsboro observed their 60th wedding anniversary Tuesday, May 23.
The couple were married May 23, 1946, at Bethel, S.D. Both worked at Tabor College for 30 years before retiring, Walter as a teacher and administrator and Esther as a secretary and telephone switchboard operator.
They have two children, Faith and husband Ron Klaassen of Newark, N.J., and Joe Kleinsasser and wife Michelle of Hillsboro, and three grandchildren, Jonathan Klaassen, Ryan Kleinsasser and Nathan Kleinsasser.
The couple plan to celebrate their anniversary later in the year with a family outing.
