Jason and Rachel Mohn of Hillsboro announce the birth of a daughter, Amara Joelle, May 4 in Newton.

She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 inches long.

She has two siblings, Kyra Joy, 8, and Karsten Joel, 6, to welcome her.

The paternal grandparents are Gordon and Vicky Mohn of Hillsboro; the paternal great-grandparents are Oliver and Marcella Mohn and Dollie Blomquist, all of Hillsboro.

The maternal grandparents are Stanley and Susan Clark of Redding Calif.; the maternal great-grandparents are Del and Ruth Carlton of Emily, Minn., and Douglas Clark of Spring Hill, Fla.

Shane and Charla Duerksen announce the birth of a daughter, Landry Paige, May 9 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.

She weighed 7 pounds, 7.6 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Her sister is Mia Grace, 21 months.

Paternal grandparents are Ron and Fran Duerksen of Lehigh. Great-grandparents are Lovisa Duerksen of Hillsboro and Leroy and Viola Ratzlaff of Goessel.

Maternal grandparents are Ken and Vicky Dawson of Cottonwood Falls. Great-grandparents are Charlotte Dawson of Cedar Points and Evan Koger of Cottonwood Falls.
