Clinton Hanschu, 84, retired farmer and lifelong Ramona resident, died March 7 at the Kenwood View Nursing Home in Salina.

The funeral was at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ramona with pastor Clark Davis officiating.

He was born Feb. 15, 1922, to David Sr. and Caroline Riffel Hanschu at Ramona. On Aug. 1, 1943, he was married to Frances M. Batt, who survives.

He also is survived by daughter Sharyn and husband Mike Mueller of Olathe, son Randy and wife Jo of Kansas City, Kan., a sister, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Trinity Lutheran Church and to the City of Ramona Bench Fund; contributions may be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel.

Lloyd E. Hiebert, 81

Lloyd E. Hiebert, 81, retired farmer, died March 14 at his residence in Macon.

Services were 10:30 a.m. March 25 at South Haven Mennonite Church in Macon with Leo Classen, Larry Giesbrecht, Keith Nightingale and Ron Schmidt officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.

He was born July 13, 1924, to Henry G. and Margaret Ensz Hiebert in Hillsboro. He is survived by his wife, Alvina Hiebert of Macon.

He is also survived by four daughters, Joanne Vogel of Hillsboro, Bonnie Schmidt and Ruby Classen, both of Macon, and Linda Koehn of Brooksville; two sons, Randal Hiebert of Macon and John Hiebert of Bow Island, Alberta, Canada; four brothers, Norman Hiebert of Carpenter, S.D., Donald Hiebert of Yale, S.D., James Hiebert of Hillsboro and Van Hiebert of Louisville, Ga.; 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Larry W. McLain, 59

Larry W. McLain, 59, oil and gas business employee, died Thursday, March 23, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

Services were held Monday, March 27, at Marion Christian Church. Burial followed in the Marion Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Timpson, Texas. On June 11, 1968, he was married to Linda Larson, who survives in Marion.

He is also survived by two sons, Larry Jr. and wife Stephanie of Shawnee and Jim of Hesston; a daughter, Jennifer Kelsey and husband Mike of Newton; sister Bertie Mae Ebert of Sugarland, Texas; and six grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the Leukemia Society of America.

Marie Unrau, 92

Marie M. Unrau, homemaker and former schoolteacher, died Sunday, March 19, at Newton Medical Center.

A memorial service was at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 23, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, rural Goessel, with pastors Mark Wiens and Les Suderman officiating.

She was born Sept. 18, 1913, to Jacob B. and Marie Banman Unrau in McPherson County.

She is survived by 22 nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A memorial has been established with Bethesda Home in Goessel. Contributions can be made through Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.

Frank H. Werner, 85

Frank H. Werner, 85, U.S. Army veteran, welder and school bus driver, died Friday, March 24, at St. Luke's Hospital in Marion.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, at the Zeiner Funeral Home with pastor Alan Stahlecker officiating. Burial will be in the Lincolnville Cemetery.

He was born March 19, 1921, to Charles and Katherine (Kruckemeyer) Werner at Columbus, Ohio. On March 27, 1946, he was married to Irene Kos, who survives in Marion.

He is also survived by son Frank W. of Marion; two daughters, Janet Smith and husband Phil of Lincolnville and Kathryn Werner of New York; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the St. Luke Foundation.
