The Marion City Commission gave its permission Monday for All-American Stars Circus to locate east of the cemetery for two shows April 10.
Development Director Jami Williams said the circus required a 200-by- 300-foot location with water to care for circus animals.
The commissioners approved transfer of property from the city in the industrial park to Seacat Do It Best under terms agreed to with the company.
Public Works Director Harvey Sanders said work on a transformer at the baseball fields is complete, and the city crew should have lights and a score board, which have been out, working by the first game March 31.
Street Superintendent Marty Fredrickson said a split into two lots was approved at the southwest corner of Freeborn and Denver that will lead to construction of two new homes, one facing each street.
The commissioners approved paying warrants for $28,537.90.
