Palmer Base and Lucille Thiesen were married March 25, 1965, at the Tabor Mennonite Church near Goessel.
He is a farmer and she is a homemaker.
The couple have two children: daughter Pamela and husband Paul Hartman of Andover, and the late son, Merrill Base.
