Marion Body Shop technician Todd Winter will have a unique challenge beginning this week. He has been selected to create a custom paint job on four golf cars that the Kansas Lotto will be giving away.
The golf cars are made from actual auto bodies.
"They will be made from Corvets, Hummers and those kind of bodies," Winter said. "Swartz Golf Carts in Stong City recommended me to do the work."
The bodies should arrive beginning this week.
The Kansas Chamber of Commerce heard about the idea and decided to have a golf car customized to give away.
Winter is putting the finishing touches on the blue, white and gold car.
"The idea was to have a Kansas-made product," Winter said. "That's how a guy from a small Kansas town got the job."
Another of Winter's projects, a custom-painted Super B will be featured on Speed TV, Channel 51 on the Galaxy Cablevision package.
"I'm not sure what time it will be running, but it should be pretty cool." said Winter.
