Tabor lost the opener to Graceland 10-1. The Bluejays led 1-0 after one inning on a Johanna Love double and a Jessica Appelhanz single. But the run proved to be all Tabor could muster.

Graceland scored four runs in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth off Love.

In Game 2, Tabor lost a 13-8 slugfest against Central Christian. The Bluejays cranked out 15 hits, including triples from April Funk and Appelhanz.

In Game 3, Tabor was shut out by Rogers State 12-0. Trailing 2-0 after three innings, Rogers State exploded for 10 runs in the fourth inning to end the game because of the 10-run rule.

Love's first-inning single was Tabor's only hit.

In their fourth game of the weekend, the Bluejays lost to Oklahoma Wesleyan 12-2 in five innings.

Tabor's first run came in the third inning when Goossen, Porsche Davis and Clancy Kelley singled. Its second run came in the third on a two-out walk to Appelhanz and a triple by Goossen. Tabor had seven hits.

Tabor wrapped up the tournament with a 7-7 tie to the host team. Wesleyan led 3-0 after one inning but Tabor answered with a pair of runs in the second on singles by Goossen, Davis and Kelley.

The Bluejays added four runs in the third on singles by Kalie George, Appelhanz, Goossen, Funk and Kelley.

Tabor's final run came in the fourth when Schnell led off with a walk and scored on a Love double. Wesleyan added three runs in the sixth for the 7-all tie called because of time limitations.

"I felt pretty good about how we played, but we have to be patient because we have to realize a lot of the teams we played are of a higher caliber than the teams in our league," coach Tina King said. "But we realize we will be able to stick with people in our conference."

Tabor's record is 0-13-1

Friends-Tabor opened KCAC play last Wednesday with a 9-5 and 9-3 doubleheader loss at home to Friends.

In the opener, pitcher Johannah Love got the start.

Tabor scored the game's first two runs in the second inning when Love walked and Danielle Goossen and Sara Thiessen followed with singles.

After Friends cut the lead to 2-1 in the third, Tabor answered with two more runs when Stephanie Regrut singled and scored on a Jessica Appelhanz home run for a 4-1 lead.

But Friends countered with a four-run fifth to take a 5-4 lead.

Tabor evened the ledger in the bottom of the inning when Schnell led off with a double and later scored. But the Falcons scored four runs in the seventh for the 9-5 win.

In Game 2, Cassie Borg got the start and loss as Friends opened the game with four first-inning runs on four hits.

Tabor countered with a single run in the first on a Jacqueline Schnell double, a Kalie George sacrifice and a Love scoring single.

The Bluejays added a run in the second when Thiessen tripled and stole home.

After Friends added a run to open a 5-2 lead, Tabor got closer in the fifth when Appelhanz walked with two outs and scored on a Schnell double.

But Friends sealed Tabor's fate with a pair of runs in both the sixth and seventh innings for the 9-3 win.
