Frances E. Barber, 67

Frances Barber, 67, former property manager, died Feb. 26 at Marion Manor.

The funeral service was at 10 a.m. Friday at the Marion Christian Church with Pastor Carl Helm officiating. Burial followed in the McPherson City Cemetery.

She was born March 23, 1937, to Charles and Mabel Marie Owens Weinreich in Baltimore, Md. On Dec. 31, 1970, she was married to Richard "Dick" Barber at Denver, Colo. The couple moved to Marion in 2001. Her husband predeceased her in November 2005.

She is survived by a son, Chuck Miller of Marion, and her brother-in-law, Ken Barber and wife Lynda of Denver.

A memorial fund has been established with Marion Manor.

Lane Broadstreet, 65

Lane Broadstreet, 65, retired music teacher and insurance agent, died Sunday at Marion Manor.

The funeral service was at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Marion Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jeremiah Lange officiating. Burial followed at the Marion Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 12, 1941, to Bernard and Genevieve Baily Broadstreet in Hillsboro. On May 25, 1964, he was married to Carol Starr, who survives in Marion.

He also is survived by son Douglas of Halstead; daughter Jennifer Corona of Marion; sisters Nancy Bowen of Manhattan, Bernadeen Winter of Marion and Judy Stauffer of Algonquin, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the music departments of Marion Presbyterian Church or Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

Ervin Hogg, 89

Ervin Donald Hogg, 89, retired electrical engineer, died March 4 at Hillsboro.

The funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church with Pastor Nancy Lambing officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Iuka Cemetery at Iuka.

He was born Nov. 30, 1916, to Claude Hogg and Udith Pauline Hogg at Iuka. On July 8, 1995, he was married to Viola Walker, who predeceased him in 2003.

He is survived by his caregivers, Janis Meredith of Wichita and Judy Reno of Marion, plus numerous nephews and nieces.

A memorial fund has been established with the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.

Lorie Ann Morgan, 38

Lorie Ann Morgan, 38, certified nurse aide, died March 3 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Canton Christian. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery.

She was born March 5, 1967, to John Robinson and Mary Gardner at Hamburg, Iowa. On April 9, 2005, she was married to William "Will" Morgan at Canton.

She is survived by her husband of Canton; mother Mary Spidell of Salina; son Dustin Moyer of Clovis, N.M.; daughters Darlene Moyer of Clovis, Kayleen Allen of Salina and Kara Allen of Salina; sisters Lisa Holliman of Solomon, Hiedie Hurde of Salina and Julie Hogue of Lindsborg; and parents-in-law Lewis and Charlotte Morgan of Canton.

Memorials have been established for her children's educational fund and the Autism Society of America. Keith Nelson, 87

Keith Nelson, 87, retired farmer, stockman and stone mason, died March 2 at Marion Assisted Living Center.

The memorial service was at 1 p.m. Monday at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Carl Helm officiating. Cremation was effected and a private family burial was planned for a later date.

He was born June 30, 1918, to Gus and Anna Tischauser Nelson at Burdick. On June 1, 1940, he was married to Cornelia "Toady" Holmes, who survives in Marion.

He also is survived by sons Leon of Burdick, Steve and wife Sharon of Delavan, Terry and wife Sheery of Burdick and Jerry and wife Jo Ann of Soldier; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established with the Marion Assisted Living Center.

Clinton Ray Suit, 61

Clinton Ray Suit, 61, truck driver, died March 1 at Via Christi Reginal Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, in Wichita.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Olson's Mortuary in Canton. Interment will be in Canton Township Cemetery.

He was born April 7, 1944, to Edwin Clinton and Margaret Estella Brown Suit in Huron, S.D. On May 29, 1963, he was married to Donna Marie Pohl, who predeceased him in February 2004.

He is survived by daughters Raeanna Suit and Renae Kirker, both of Wichita; brother Virgil Suit, also of Wichita; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial has been established for his grandchildren's educational fund.
