Beverly Echtenacher, 82

Beverly J. Echtenacher, 82, died Feb. 19 at St. Luke's Living Center in Marion.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Marion Presbyterian Church.

She was born June 7, 1923, to Clarence and Clarabelle Horne in La Crosse, Wisc. She was married to John W. Hudson. In 1971, she was married to Robert W. Echtenacher, who survives in Marion.

She is also survived by two sons, Tom Hudson of Bend, Ore., and Jim Hudson of Marion; a daughter, Janis and Dennis Maggard of Marion; a brother, Robert Horne of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A memorial has been established with Marion Presbyterian Church..

'Jug' Koehn, 63

Richard L. "Jug" Koehn, 63, oil-field pumper for ECCO in McPherson, died Feb. 18 in Galva.

The service is at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Empire Cemtery in Galva with pastor Orville Koehn presiding. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Olson's Mortuary in Canton.

He was born June 15, 1942, to Allen and Anna Krehbiel Koehn in Goessel. In 1960 he was married to Sharon Marie Lindsey, who predeceased him in 2004.

He is survived by a son, Jim A. Koehn of Canton; two daughters, Gina Middleton of Canton and Becky Hanna of Hillsboro; a sister, Jane Milner of Ft. Towson, Okla.; mother-in-law, Henrietta Rupert of Canton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Karsyn's Loving Arms.

Max Klaassen, 72

Marvin "Max" Klaassen, 72, retired auto mechanic, died Feb. 8 in Wichita.

The service was held Feb. 11 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Wichita.

He was born to Benjamin and Margaret Klaassen. He graduated in 1952 from Hillsboro High School.

He is survived by wife Esther Klaassen of Wichita; two sons, Bruce Klaassen and Brian Klaassen, both of Wichita; two daughters, Brenda and Russell Mason of Wichita and Betty and Alan Horn of Goddard; a brother, Garfield Klaassen of Hillsboro; a sisters, Elma and Darrell Volkman of Kirkland, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with Ascension Lutheran Church and Youth Horizons.

Mark Pankratz, 45

Mark Pankratz, 45, died Feb. 13 in Newton.

The service was held Feb. 21 at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with pastors Bruce Porter and Scott Miller officiating.

He was born July 6, 1960, to Paul Pankratz and Josie Hiebert Pankratz in Wichita. In 2000 he was married to Juli Hein, who survives in Newton.

He is also survived by three sons, Jesse Pankratz of Wichita, Jeremy Pankratz of Wellington and Mark Pankratz Jr. of McPherson; his parents of Hillsboro; a brother, Mike Pankratz of Wichita; a sister, Joni Pankratz of Hillsboro; and one grandchild.

The Mark Pankratz Jr. Memorial Fund has been established.
