EDITORIAL: Dry times-The lack of moisture is a problem for all of us, whether we live on the farm or

Our memory has no record of a winter as mild and dry as this one. It's hard to complain about the temperatures-although we're confident it must result in some ag-related problems come spring. But the lack of moisture is plainly a problem for all of us, whether it's the wheat crop in the country or young trees planted along city streets. The rolling countryside is a tinderbox.
We're accustomed to praying for moisture during the dog days of July and August. It may be time for some late-winter Divine intervention. -DR
