Dale Christensen, 86

Dale L. Christensen, 86, retired farmer, died Jan. 27, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

The service was held Jan. 31 at Marion Christian Church with pastor Carl Helm officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

He was born May 19, 1919, to Louis and Ruby (Richardson) Christensen in Marion. In 1962 he was married to Eunice Boyer, who survives in Marion.

He is also survived by five daughters, Jeanie and Tom Blake of Wichita, Mary and Sonny Oliver of Tulsa, Sherie Moody-Mulvenon and John of Marion, Cindy and Glen Sisson of Council Grove and Cynthia Barrett of Marion; a sister, Annie Jean and Lawrence Winkley of Marion; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with St. Luke Hospital and Living Center and Marion Public Library.

Jayne Koehn, 48

Jayne Lou Wiebe Koehn, 48, homemaker, died Jan. 20 in Oroville, Calif.

She was born Oct. 26, 1957, to Ransom and Lillian Wiebe in Goessel. In 1979 she was married to Russell Koehn, who survives in Oroville.

She is also survived by two daughters, Kristi and Deanna of Oroville; her parents of Durham; a sister, Karen and Frank Unruh of Glenn, Calif.; four brothers, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and Mark ad Kris Wiebe, all of Tampa, Justin and Rebecca Wiebe of Bloomfield, Iowa, and Jason and Sheri Wiebe of Durham; and parents-in-law Albert and Goldie Koehn of Artois, Calif.

Rachel Lais, 93

Rachel Lais, 93, retired dairy laboratory technician, died Jan. 19 at Medical Lodge Nursing Home in Goessel.

The service was Jan. 23 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wichita with pastor Allen Hoger officiating. Burial was at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona.

She was born April 12, 1912, to Gotfried K. and Suzanna (Bernhardt) Bernhardt in Lost Springs. In 1930 she was married to Robert Lais, who predeceased her.

She is survived by a son, Robert Lais of Wichita; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

A memorial has been established with Immanuel Lutheran Church.
