David and Suzanne Baker announce the birth of a son, Gavin Curtis, born Jan. 5 in Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Grandparents are Cal and Tam Jost and Jim and Elaine Baker.

Great-grandparents are Adina Jost, Walden and Susan Duerksen, Vida Baker Suderman and Roy and Mary Ann Funk.

Great-great-grandmother is Susan Schmidt.
