The video "Just Five Minutes on Colds and Flu" will be shown after lunch Jan. 5 at the Hillsboro Senior Center.

Mary McFadden, registered nurse, will be available from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, for foot care by appointment and taking blood pressures.

For $1, Jeanne Rziha will give a pre-diabetic testing two hours after the meal Tuesday, Jan. 10, to determine if an individual has pre-diabetes or diabetes.

The influenza outbreak of 1918 and its connection to Kansas will be examined in video following the meal Jan. 11 and 12.

Those who celebrated their December birthdays last week were Gladys Schmidt, Evelyn Delk, Alice Winter and Frances Unruh.

The following individuals volunteered their time at the center last week:

Kitchen: Irma Koop, Eunice Matz, Shirley Hamm, Ruth Ann Penner, Frieda Birkle, Frances Rempel, Mariann Unruh.

Meal delivery: Jim Brennan, Ray Matz.

Fish transportation: Kermit Ratzlaff, Ray Franz.
