With about two-thirds of eligible voters participating, Marion County votes 'no' on a destination casino.
The results of mail-in election regarding support for a destination casino in Marion County were tabulated and released Thursday afternoon.
Yes: 2,377 (48%)
No: 2,577 (52%)
According to County Clerk Carol Maggard, 8,957 ballots were mailed out, about 1,462 were returned as undeliverable, leaving about 2,500 ballots that were not returned by registered voters who received them.
