Tabor women breeze past Bulldogs 78-48, men earn bruising 60-47 win The 9th ranked Tabor College women outscored McPherson 30-8 over the final 12 minutes of the first half on the way to a commanding 44-22 halftime lead before settling for an easy 78-48 win over the Bulldogs.

Erica Dechant and Emily Vogts both scored 13 points to lead Tabor while Erica Hemmert added 11 and Donya Anderson chipped in 10.

Tabor hit 31 of 63 (49.2 percent) for the game and registered 21 assists in the process.

The Bluejay defense was equally impressive holding McPherson to just 30.9 percent (17 of 55) from the field whle forcing 21 Bulldog turnovers.

Tabor's deep bench was also a major factor, out scoring McPherson's substitutes 31-5.

With the win, Tabor heads into the holiday break leading the KCAC with a 4-0 mark while improving to 9-3 overall.

The Tabor men found themselves in a slugfest with McPherson but managed a hard fought 60-47 win.

Tabor led 26-18 at halftime before expanding its lead to as many as 19 points in the second half.

Brad Gattis was the lone Bluejay in double figures with 15 points as Tabor connected on 42.9 percent (18 of 42) of its shots while holding McPherson to just 29.6 percent (16 of 54) for the game.

The Bluejays managed to drain 7 of 21 (33.3 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc while the Bulldogs stuggled from long range, canning just 16.7 percent (3 of 18).

With the victory, Tabor moves to 3-1 in the KCAC while improving to 6-5 overall.

The Tabor women won't play until December 30 when they travel to Chickasha, OK to battle the University of Arts and Science while the men resume play on December 30 and 31 when they host the Tabor Classic in Hillsboro.
