DEATHS- Gilbert S. Turk

Gilbert S. Turk, 77, retired Cessna Aircraft employee, died Nov. 30 in Marion. A rosary was held Dec. 2 at Holy Family Church in Marion. Mass of Christian burial was held Dec. 3 at Holy Family Church in Pilsen, with Father Hien Nguyen as celebrant and Father Nick Voelker as concelebrant. Interment was in Marion Cemetery. He was born May 8, 1928, to Lawrence and Barbara (Brenner) Turk in Topeka. In 1954 he was married to Phyllis Allen, who survives. He is also survived by five sons, Brad and wife Luretta of Marion; Gary and wife Donita of Baldwin City; Tony and wife Jane of St. Louis; Bill and wife Leslie of Newton; and Shane of Hesston; a daughter, Teresa Parrish of Iola; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with the Holy Family Church of Marion County.
