A 71-year old Marion man was killed in a two-car accident Monday morning at the intersection of 190th Street and Nighthawk Road midway between Marion and Hillsboro.
Richard L. Barber of Marion was driving eastbound on 190th at 10:41 a.m. Monday when 44-year-old Douglas L. Gable of Herington, driving southbound on Nighthawk, ran the stop sign and struck Barber's vehicle.
Barber was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.
Both Gable and Barber's wife, Frances Barber, 67, a passenger in the vehicle, were taken by medical helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with injuries.
None of the individuals were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, according to officers.
