Thanksgiving is a day for looking down the ladder of achievement and realizing how fortunate we are to be so highly placed. Through most of the year, so much of our energy is spent trying to move up the ladder of success-however we define it-that we spend much of our lives frustratingly discontent.
All of us are better off than at least one person and most of us far more fortunate than the majority. While we need not revel in the misfortunes of others, the truth is most of us have a pretty good life-a far better one than we deserve, in fact.
Count you blessings this weekend. The number will astound you.
