Ranked sixth in the nation with an 11-0 record, it's no surprise that Tabor College dominated the All-KCAC football team released last week.

Among the many honors the Bluejays received were Roger Butler's selection as KCAC Player-of-the-Year, Jake Schenk as Defensive Co-Player-of-the-Year, Mike Gardner as Co-Coach-of-the-Year and Dustin Miller as Assistant-Coach-of-the-Year.

The following Bluejays earned first-team All-KCAC recognition:

  • Ricky Ishida, quarterback, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif.
  • Roger Butler, running back, a senior from Hanford, Calif.
  • Grant Meyers, offensive lineman, a junior from Bakersfield.
  • James Pizano, offensive lineman, a senior from Bakersfield.
  • Jake Schenk, linebacker, a senior from Smith Center.
  • Justin Mathias, defensive lineman, a senior from Hutchinson.
Tabor's second-team selections were:
  • Ben Brown, running back, a senior from Los Banos, Calif.
  • Layne Frick, wide receiver, a senior from Hillsboro.
  • Cody Dick, offensive lineman, a junior from Buhler.
  • Robert Haude, defensive back, a junior from Bakersfield.
  • Alex Wallace, defensive lineman, a junior from Houston, Texas.
  • Mike Skvor, punter, a freshman from Long Beach, Calif.
Earning honorable mention from Tabor were:
  • Andy Bartell, defensive back, a sophomore from Halstead.
  • Andy Curtis, offensive lineman, a sophomore from Altus, Okla.
  • Brian Durowaiye, linebacker, a senior from Houston, Texas.
  • Joe Fenske, defensive back, a senior from Corning, Calif.
  • Bobby Hurd, offensive lineman, a junior from Elmer, Okla.
  • Aaron Jenkins, wide receiver and kickoff returner, a junior from Las Vegas, N.V.
  • Tevita Kolokihakaufisi, defensive lineman, a junior from Hillsborough, Calif.
  • Jeff MacKinnon, tight end, a senior from Owasso, Okla.
  • Marcus Manny, kicker, a sophomore from Dallas, Texas.
  • Caleb Marsh, punt and kick returner, a sophomore from Hillsboro.
  • Tyler McKim, linebacker, a senior from Red Bluff, Calif.
  • Brent Overmiller, linebacker, a senior from Smith Center.
  • Josh Tuitopo, defensive lineman, a junior from Corning, Calif.
