Karma Busisiwe Duerksen and John Alex Amundson were married July 16 in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. Pastor Nita Wilson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of A. Dennis and Norma Duerksen of rural Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Robert and Virginia Amundson of Paradise Valley, Ariz.

The photographer was Grace Duerksen, sister of the bride. Musicians were Rick and Denise Woelk, Arlen and Anita Goertzen, Mark and Harriet Woelk and Charles Woelk.

Ushers were Verney Voth, David Close and Mike Unruh. Guestbook attendant was Connie Stucky and flower coordinator was Nancy Plenert. Susan Nafziger and Alexandra Murray helped with gifts and bubbles.

Following the ceremony, a reception meal was held at Alexanderwohl Fellowship Hall. Reception hosts were James and Gayle Voth. Food coordinators and servers were Janice Voth, Leda Graybill, Sher Neufeld, Adrienne Close, Melanie Clemmer and Becky Albrecht.

After a honeymoon to Colorado, the couple resides in Mesa, Ariz.
