Laci Alvarez and Kane Adams, both of Hillsboro, were married June 4 at the United Methodist Church in Hillsboro with John Ryding of Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill, Neb., officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Barbara Alvarez Jr. of Hillsboro. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Connie Alvarez of Lost Springs and Marvin and Barbara Hill of Hillsboro.

The groom is the son of Lyman and Marie Adams Jr. of Hillsboro. He is the grandson of Lyman and Doris Adams of Hoxie and Max and Vada Cartmill of Ottawa.

The bride wore a white georgette A-line gown featuring a side drape with pearls, sequins and crystals and a chapel-length train. She wore a tiara of rhinestones and crystals and a white finger-tip length veil accented with pearls and Swarovski crystals and edged with satin cording. The bouquet featured white stargazer lilies, plumosa, maiden hair and lily grass accented with sprays of pearls and hand-tied with white organza ribbon.

Maid of honor was Denise Huggins, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Bulk, Erin Bartel and Elizabeth Martin, all friends of the bride.

Best man was Kyle Adams, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Rich Bartow, brother-in-law of the groom; and Grant Wiens and Ryan Tomlinson, friends of the groom.

Flowergirl was Taelyn Alvarez, and ringbearer was Dusten Plenert, both cousins of the bride.

Ushers were Derek Carlson, friend of the groom; Erik Anderson, cousin of the groom; and Brett Speaks, friend of the groom.

Gift carriers were Jodi Herman, Toni Herman, and Selena Seifert, all cousins of the bride.

Vocalists were Justin and Dena Hall and Jessica Fournier, all cousins of the bride. Sound technician was Steve Seifert, uncle of the bride.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at Red Coach Inn of McPherson.

Hostesses were Kristy Adams, sister-in-law of the groom; and Kara Bartow, sister of the groom.

Reception attendants were Crystal Alvarez and Dena Hall, cousins of the bride; and Liz Erickson, friend of the bride.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a May graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in human resource management. She is employed as a human resource associate with Cargill Inc.

The groom is a 2000 HHS graduate and earned a social science degree in August from KSU. He is employed as a loan specialist at Countrywide Financial.

Following a honeymoon to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Wilkes Barre, Penn.
