Paul Bandy, 85

Paul L. Bandy, 85, died July 22 at Shiloh Manor Nursing Home in Canton.

The service was Tuesday morning at Canton Christian Church. Pastor Jack Smith officiated. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 20, 1919, to Floyd and Sophie Blackburn Bandy in Canton. In 1946 he was married to Marjorie M. Heckard, who survives in Canton.

He is also survived by three sons, R.M. "Butch" Coons of Rimrock, Ariz.; Terry P. Bandy of McPherson and Richard L. Bandy of Canton; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with Canton Christian Church and Shiloh Manor Nursing Home.

Tabea Born, 96

Tabea Born, 96, homemaker, died July 21 in Newton.

The service was Saturday morning at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Roy Keller officiated. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

She was born Aug. 20, 1908, to Diedrich and Elizabeth Unruh Goossen in Marion, S.D. In 1929 she was married to Jacob Born, who predeceased her in 2001.

She is survived by two sons, Floyd and wife Bertha Born of Newton and William and wife Helena Born of Bakersfield, Calif.; a daughter, Norma and husband LeRoy Goentzel of Denver, Colo.; a son-in-law, Roy Schultz of Hinsdale, Mont.; two brothers, Edwin Goossen of Billings, Mont., and Elmer Goossen of Minneapolis, Minn.; a sister, Irene Saari of Duluth, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church.

"Bev" Cameron, 91

John Beverly Cameron, 91, died July 16 at Lakeview Village Care Center in Lenexa.

Funeral mass was said at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa.

He was born Sept. 27, 1913, to Charles Beverly and Mary Sophie (Rau) Cameron. In 1950 he was married to Mary Monica Farrell, who survives.

He is also survived by seven children, including Ann Holt of Marion; and 11 grandchildren.
