Ed and Phyllis Richert of Hillsboro announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their son Peter J. Richert to Krista Owens of Cherryvale, the daughter of Jeff and Kathy Owen, also of Cherryvale.

The couple will be married Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Augusta.

The bride-to-be will pursue a career in psychology, and the prospective groom will pursue a career in physical education.
